What is The Edge Of Darkness Paranormal?
The Edge Of Darkness Paranormal is a Bellevue, Nebraska based paranormal research team who uses old and new investigative, scientific methods to prove or disprove the existence of paranormal activity. Team members conduct themselves in a professional manner and stand true to our core values, Honor, Respect, Professionalism, Confidentiality, Knowledge, and Pride.
How and when was the organization formed?
The Team was originally formed under the name SPIRAL Paranormal in MAY 2007. The team was formed by Shane & Tracy Huggins. They later discussed it with friends and then the team was formed. In 2011 the name was changed to The Egde of Darkness Paranormal due to the overwhelming number of teams, world wide, using the name SPIRAL. Shane, one of the founders, has been in the field of paranormal investigations for about 15 years. He has served with several teams in Texas, as well as serving as a Native American Historian to other teams.
Where does your team investigate?
All types of locations, any location that has had claims of activity. If you see a ghost in a corn field, we'll investigate it. Our team also conducts photo analysis, EVP analysis for those in need of those services.
I think I have a haunting or paranormal activity in my home/business/land. How can I schedule an investigation?
That’s easy. Simply go to our contact page, send us an e-mail or leave your info on our guest book. After you contact us regarding your situation, Team Leaders will review your case to decide if an investigation is necessary, and will then contact you with the decision.
How much will an investigation cost me/us?
All investigations are FREE OF CHARGE! The Edge Of Darkness Paranormal does not, and will not ever charge for an investigation.. Everything from equipment costs to travel expenses is paid for from our own pockets. Donations, in any form, will be accepted should they wish to be made, however, we will not ask for them.
What can I expect regarding the investigation?
All investigations are done in a professional and scientific manner in accordance to strict team guidelines and policies. Equipment used, depending on the type of investigation, may range from digital video cameras and audio recorders, digital photo cameras, EMF meters and any other equipment, we feel will aid in our investigation.
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT MY PERSONAL INFORMATION MADE PUBLIC?
The Edge of Darkness Paranormal has a strict confidentiality clause that each member signs. Regarding posting and revealing our investigations to the public that is completely up to you, the client. While some clients have allowed us to use their name and location in posting our investigations, others would simply like to not have anything revealed; a decision we completely respect. During an interview, our case manager will let you know the options available to you.

ARE THERE DIFFERENT TYPES OF HAUNTINGS?
Undoubtedly the answer is yes. There are four clearly defined and distinct types of haunts. In no particular order but as follows they are intelligent haunts, poltergeists, residual haunts, & inhuman spirits.
Intelligent haunts are just what the title implies, they are intelligent. They are self aware as much as you and I, as well as having an excellent perception of their earthly surroundings. This type of spirit can interact with the physical world enough to actually move small objects. Many times they will attempt to make contact with the living, EVP recordings of the interactive variety showcase this quite well.
Poltergeists are also known to be smart entities therefore they share many characteristics of intelligent haunts. However these spirits in many occasions will attach themselves to, and feed off of the energy of a particular person. Many times being teenagers in volatile emotional states. They are mischievous and/or violent in nature. The poltergeist's claim to fame is their unique ability to stunningly move objects in a much more demonstrative fashion than your average ghost. The reason these spirits are able to manifest such strong powers of levitation over objects probably is directly related to the fact that they have learned to manipulate the energy of humans to their benefit.
Residual haunts, there is no actual spirit, as one might call it, present. These are simply images and whole events from times past that replay themselves over and over. They are thought by many to be caused by trapped psychokinetic energy; possibly becoming that way due to tragic circumstances, but for reasons still not fully understood. Residual haunts do not seem to notice any other person, thing, or event going on around them. If new walls are built in a particular residual area, the ghost will walk directly through them. Unfortunately since no consciousness remains, these hauntings can never be encouraged to leave, only understood and learned to live with.
Inhuman spirits are referred to by many as demons. Titles aside, the point is that they are bad news. These entities were never humans, and may feed off of the negative energies of people they encounter. They are often very powerful and evil and demonstrate abilities above and beyond that of any human spirit. We do feel the term demon is sometimes too limiting. Not all of these presences fit this dogmatic mold of the word demon.
